Correctional LVN for 6-13 weeks As a Correctional LVN you will be responsible for providing quality healthcare to each inmate in adherence with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.Duties may include, but will not be limited to, providing complete maintenance of all medical records, including pulling and filing records daily for sick calls, dentist visits and physician visits. Establishes initial medical record file for new inmates. Responsible for breaking down records for discharges or transferred inmates, and forwards same to proper agencies. Assists in sick call screening and physical examinations under the supervision of physicians and nurses based upon physician¡¦s orders and physician¡¦s protocols. Records health care complaints and takes patient histories. Takes and records necessary vital signs of inmate patients. Collects samples for laboratory examinations and issues routine medications. Records treatment provided according to physician's orders and physician's protocol.
